Happy New Year from all of us at the Luxury Closet! We wish you all the best for the upcoming year! To start off 2014 with a stylish bang, we’ve compiled a few of the latest must-have bag trends for the months to come:
Radiant Orchid- The Color of the Year for 2014
Move over Emerald- the new shade to don is a vibrant fuschia. Released by Pantone, the renowned color experts of the graphic design world, Radiant Orchid is destined to be seen pouring over the sides of runways and out of shop windows. Get the first glance at our favorites, including this Gucci Broadway evening bag and Marc by Marc Jacobs Hobo
What’s better than a handbag that doubles as a conversation piece? Nothing if you ask us! These cute companions are sure to get the masses talking. Charlotte Olympia is known for being spot on with her quirky clutch designs like her Pandora box collection and sweet Gummi bear companions. This little panda pouch from Loewe isn’t far off either.
Prints are making their way to the forefront of the bag market as well, but don’t settle for your typical leopard and paisley. The popular Demanta clutch from Alexander McQueen has been updated with a bold, futuristic floral print to really get your attention, while Valentino has opted to mix in a leopard motif with its tried and true Rockstud collection. We’re absolutely dying over these two!
It’s not just about winter white anymore! The spring runways were lined with gorgeous neutral tones perfect for making us feel all warm and cozy inside. Christian Louboutin and Jimmy Choo were both stars in this category, pairing gorgeously feminine tones with edgy accents.
Backpacks and Belt Bags
Blast from the past! The 90s are coming back with a vengence and in full force. Backpacks aren’t just for students anymore; chic styles like these by Stella McCartney and Elizabeth and James have been spotted on sidewalks and runways all across the globe. Similarly, belt bags have been popping up everywhere , and not just in the photo albums of dorky tourists. Marni and Saint Laurent have recently introduced these belted beauties and boy are we in love!
