With Art Dubai in full swing, this weekend we are all about painterly prints, bold brushstrokes, colour blocking ensembles and Warhol-esque motifs.
From prints to fabrics and cuts, the SS15 catwalks served as a sartorial canvas for designers, with brands such as Roksanda Ilincic, Chanel, Burberry and Cavalli alluding to the art scene of the notorious 90’s.
This season we are taking artistic inspiration from the big players: take cues from colour clashing queen Roksanda Ilincic and match our Dior striped top with our red Marc by Marc Jacobs blazer, accessorise a la McQueen with our loud and proud Louboutin’s, or go graphic, Chanel style, with our printed tops and dresses from the likes of Emilio Pucci and Gucci.
Calling all maximalists! One of the most exciting events in our social diary has arrived and should be worn head to toe for a decidedly un-subtle approach.
Follow it or fear it, this is one trend that’s back with a bang. Join in with the fash packs this weekend and shop our array of artistic ensembles…
