So many gowns. So much glam. As the L’Oreal Paris ambassadors step out in style, it would almost be rude not to have a fully fledged Fashion Police-esque rendezvous a la Festival de Cannes – that’s Cannes Film Festival to the rest of us! So without further ado, let’s meet The Luxury Closet’s judging panel…

Naomi Watts
Caroline: I think this Elie Saab Spring 2015 Couture gown was a perfect choice, it stands out beautifully against the red carpet. I love the simple yet sophistacted hair and make-up, but I wish she didn’t have so many accessories – the earrings and necklace are enough.

Elisabeth: A princess dress with a plunging neckline is the perfect combination for glamour with a bit of attitude. The mix of feathers and embellished pearls is perfect for such an occasion, but I wish she left that zebra clutch at home, it doesn’t go with the rest of the ensemble!

Lana: Always reigning as the queen of the red carpet, Naomi Watts’ look was flawless and as elegant as ever. Need I say more?

Liya Kebede
Caroline: Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way! She looks like an awkward Christmas decoration! And I think she knows it, her whole posture just says “what am I doing here?”.

Hair & Make-up: 3/5
Elisabeth: I have a love/hate relationship with this outfit. I admire the fashion statement she is making, and trying to be unique, but I’m not really convinced on the outcome.

Julianne Moore
Caroline: You can’t go wrong with a classic black dress adorned with feathers and pearls for Cannes. Tres chic! I love that she kept her hair slick and simple, to let the rest of her outfit do the talking.
Outfit: 4/5
Accessories: 5/5
Hair & Make-up: 5/5
Elisabeth: I may have been a little tough, but I don’t really like the overall look! The dress meets jacket type-thing on the top are too much, and instead of looking really glam, she actually looks grandma-like. The Chopard accessories are also too big for such a loud dress – the whole look is just very overpowering.

Karlie Kloss
Caroline: She has an amazing body, so she pulls off the Atelier Versace jumpsuit from the Fall 2014 line well. I would have chosen different colour shoes though, and I wish the hair had a bit more oomph to match the attitude of the outfit.
Outfit: 4/5
Accessories: 3/5
Hair & Make-up: 2/3
Elisabeth: She is young with an amazing body, so the outfit suits her perfectly, and the cutout details make the whole outfit super sexy. I love the simple hair and make-up as well, the only thing I can really fault is I would have worn a bangle instead of a ring.
Outfit: 4/5
Accessories: 3/5
Hair & Make-up: 4/5
Lana: In her fabulous shimmering number inspired by contemporary and futuristic designs, Karlie Kloss pulled off a look that only she can! Her simple make-up, stunning hair, and just the right amount of jewelry finished it off to perfection.
