Get ahead of the trends with our 2016 guide to what you should be coveting come the New Year!
Of Another Time
Designers took a ‘borrowed from the Vicotrian era’ approach to fashion, which’ll lend the perfect amount of romance to your look. Think ruffles, high necklines and puffy sleeves.
The Cold Shoulder
Shoulder-bearing ruffled tops, asymmetrical necklines and slashed silhouettes – no runway was left out of this trend for SS16. Just look to Givenchy, Proenza Schouler and Jason Wu for more inspo.
Jean Queen
The denim trend is nothing new, but that didn’t stop designers from giving it a sartorial update for the new season. As the spring shows rolled out, 90’s jeans (Stella McCartney style), printed and laser cut denim (a la Chanel) became apparent as the styles we’ll be coveting.
Flat Mate
Flat lovers, rejoice! If Zac Posen, Tommy Hilfiger and Derek Lam are anything to go by, come the New Year, we’ll be hanging up our heels and welcoming footwear’s more practical mood into our attire.
Viva España
Incorporate hints of Spanish culture into your wardrobe next season – bold flashes of red, flamenco-inspired skirts and flower appliques in your hair.
