Parisian aesthetic plays quite an emphasized role in this bag, and it’s very much justifiable. Right in the bustling corner of the 30 Avenue Montaigne, Paris, Christian Dior set up his atelier and ignited the illustrious tale of one of fashion’s biggest. Paying a beautiful homage to the House’s roots, this chic accessory is named the Dior 30 Montaigne bag.Dior Montaigne 30 Bag Seen for the first time in Dior’s Pre-Fall 2019 collection, this Dior bag proves to be an embodiment of elegance and luxury. Unlike its predecessors, this new creation is built into a rectangular silhouette that is much more practical in today’s hustle. When the Dior Saddle re-debuted, it had everyone swooning in the virtual world with influencers and Instagram posts. But with the 30 Montaigne, this bag procured a comparatively simpler and easier-to-carry size and, not to forget, an instantly-striking emblematic narrative.

“We saw it was a winner when we saw the first prototype,” quotes Dior’s chairman and chief executive, Pietro Beccari. Maria Grazia Chiuri, Dior’s artistic director and the mastermind behind the bag, cannot be forgotten. It is her brilliant vision that concocts so well with this French luxury brand’s sense of style and savoir-faire.

As if the names ‘Dior’and ‘Paris’ were not enough, Vogue x Dior released a short film featuring the Dior Montaigne 30 in blue Oblique jacquard to woo its admirers more. Watch this Dior creation take the front stage in the film when paired with a white power suit and a beige trench coat.

This famous Oblique Monogram was first introduced by Marc Bohan and rebirthed by Maria. In the exterior part of the bag, this catchy blue Italic-titled font is used to frame its uniformed portraiture, which is juxtaposed subtly with a gold-toned CD signature fixed on the front. This CD motif isn’t just about flamboyance or decoration but is actually a well-concealed clasp that unveils the interior space upon clicking. If you turn it around, you find a ‘30 MONTAIGNE’ embossing, with a sleek slip pocket added underneath. Another hidden perk. Nice.

When you own a 30 Montaigne, you must flaunt it to the fullest! Embellishing its supple leather shoulder strap is a military-inspired ‘Christian Dior’ buckle, which will undoubtedly add a bit of shine to your shoulder. Depending on the event or mood, you can trade this Dior strap for another one from your closet. Remove the strap, and you have a party clutch. Shorten it, and you have a nice shoulder bag to carry to work. While the accessory may be the same, its style opportunities are endless.

Some versions of the 30 Montaigne shoulder bag come with a sleek chain strap or a broad leather strap in comparison to the slim one.
