It was an evening of glamor and exuberance at the Messika high jewelry show, as the luxury jewelry brand celebrated its 10th anniversary of being in the high jewelry market space. Launched in 2005 by Valérie Messika, who is the only businesswoman in France to head her own independent jewelry Maison, the brand put on a spectacular fashion show amidst a beautiful location in Paris.
Prominent personalities including Cher, Carla Bruni, Sara Sampaio, Ed Westwick, Amy Jackson, Kelly Rowland, and Nicola Coughlan all gathered to share in this memorable moment. The theme and inspiration for the fashion show was the freedom and extravagance of the famous night spots of the 70s such as Chez Régine and Studio 54. Speaking of the jewelry itself, 140 creations were unveiled.
Midnight Sun, the new Messika High Jewelry collection, shined a burst of light deep into the heart of the night. The models including Adut Akech and Taylor Hill reflected confidence and fierceness every step of the runway, wearing everything ranging from yellow diamonds, snow-setting, magnetic wear, pearls, color contrasts, etc. Also part of the event was the Solar Diva set and its (almost) 35-carat radiant yellow diamond — one of the largest stones set since the Maison was founded.
Echoing the magnetic sets of the Midnight Sun collection, the clothes were designed by designer Nix Lecourt Mansion. Certain exclusive looks, set with diamonds, were specially co-created with Valérie Messika. Once again, Maison Messika renewed the genre of modern jewelry with its stunning handcrafted pieces symbolizing boldness, freedom, and creativity.
